East  SMHTOP is looking for an enthusiastic person to work as part of a Team and to be responsible for team administration to include liaising with doctors, service users and professional staff on an ongoing basis.

Duties include responsibility for running various team processes, inputting all medical clinical data i.e. registering patient details and continuous updating of patient records, booking assessment and other outpatient appointments as per the booking & choice policy, and generating all related correspondence. To maintain a small switchboard and transfer calls throughout the office. Receive visitors, deal with incoming and outgoing mail, logging faults with Estates and ensuring that the office area is kept tidy. To be accountable for any paper record files, archive filing system.

Applicant requirements

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
