Consultant Psychiatrist in General Adult Community 367-HPFT-MEDICAL-103-C Watford, Colne House

HPFT is at the forefront of providing integrated health and social care. HPFT is one of a handful of mental health trusts in the country to receive a CQC rating of ‘Good’. The Trust aims “to become the leading provider of Mental Health and Specialist Learning Disability services in the country”.

HPFT would like to recruit an enthusiastic and committed Consultant Psychiatrist in to substantive posts within the General Adult Community Psychiatry team based in Watford. The Community Mental Health Service provides assessment and treatment of working age adults with mental disorders that require management in secondary care in the community. The successful candidates will work closely with the members of the multidisciplinary team and undertake appropriate and evidence based psychiatric interventions. The post is part of a fully integrated multi-disciplinary team and has administrative support. Full details are available in the Job Description.

Eligibility: The applicant must be fully registered with the GMC with licence to practice at the time of appointment, included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within 6 months of CCT at advert date or equivalent in General Adult Psychiatry.  With addition to Approved Clinical Status and Section 12 Approval

Relocation Expenses: The post holder will be expected to live within 10 miles or 45 minutes travelling distance of the base. The successful candidate may be eligible to apply for assistance with removal and associated expenses in accordance with the Trust’s Relocation Policy.

Interview Expenses: Second-class travelling expenses will be reimbursed to short listed candidates for costs associated with making a pre-interview visit. Subject to the prior agreement of the Trust, short listed candidates who make a second visit may be granted expenses on this occasion also. For candidates travelling from abroad, expenses are payable only from the point of entry into the UK.
