We have an  excellent opportunity for a Learning Disability Nurse to apply for this development post that provides structure and training to enable the successful candidate to meet the competencies of a band 6 Nurse.  The post is a band 5 to 6 Staff Nurse / Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Intensive Support Team (IST) function in the West Community Assessment and Treatment Service, based at Colne house,Watford.

The Intensive Support Team provides a rapid, time limited, community based assessment and treatment service for people with learning disability living in Hertfordshire, who challenge services and have additional mental health needs. IST seeks to provide an alternative, where appropriate, for Service Users to hospital admission, so as to minimise further disruption to their lives and to the people who care for them.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and forward thinking Learning Disability Nurse  to join the Intensive Support Team (IST) in West Hertfrodshire. The team has existing partnerships with other local health and social care services for people with learning disability. This post is full time, 37.5 hours a week, flexible over 7 days.
