HPFT provides Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) services to more than 40,000 people across Hertfordshire and North Essex. These services are continuing to expand to meet the National ambitions for mental health services as set out in the Five Year Forward View for Mental Health.
We are looking for an exceptional operational manager for our IAPT services to work alongside the Senior Service Line Lead to provide a quality service to people with common mental health needs across Hertfordshire and North Essex. You will need to be dynamic and passionate about your work and committed to providing the best possible care and outcomes for people. You will have the opportunity to influence and shape the future of IAPT Services in HPFT, and further develop your own leadership and managerial skills. The key priorities for our services are:
- Significantly increasing the number of people we treat with anxiety and depression
- Integrating IAPT services with physical health services
- Reducing inequalities in access and outcomes
You will support the Senior Service Line in leading the Hertfordshire IAPT service, providing direct management to 4 large teams. You will be an experienced, inspirational and approachable leader with the ability to provide support to individuals and teams. You will be able to make tough decisions to strengthen performance and deliver quality outcomes for our service users. The successful applicant will have demonstrable management experience within the NHS or related fields, and significant experience of working with clinicians and multi-disciplinary teams to achieve service improvement. An agile leader, you will have the ability to think strategically but provide hands on practical problem solving.

In addition to the basic salary, this post may attract a High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of basic salary subject to a minimum payment of £1,017 and a maximum payment of £1,762 per annum (pro rata where applicable).
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
