At Hertfordshire Partnership Foundation Trust we are looking for people to join us who share our values and those of the NHS. Are you an experienced RNLD who enjoys working with people with learning disabilities who have mental health problems and challenging behaviours? Do you have an interest in developing & maintaining community based assessment & treatment nursing services. If so, would you like the opportunity to work in a friendly, progressive multidisciplinary specialist community health team in East & North Hertfordshire?
The Community Assessment & Treatment Service in East & North Hertfordshire is a large team of learning disability professionals including learning disability nurses, psychiatrists, Occupational Therapists, Speech & Language therapists including dysphagia specialism, psychologists, Loss & Bereavement counselling & art & music therapists. We work together to support service users specialist learning disability health needs.
Hertfordshire Learning Disability Services are one of the six chosen NHS England Fast Track sites. This brings with it many exciting opportunities for RNLDs to be involved in the development of cutting edge learning disabilities practice & services. Our Trust has this year been awarded the CQC rating of ‘Good’ which reflects the commitment of our team to deliver high quality care with the service user & carer at the centre of our focus.
We currently have a vacancy for a part time (15 hours per week) band 6 RNLD in our nursing team. Our nursing team consists of a band 7 Clinical Nurse Lead, 5 band 6 nurses, 2 band 5 nurses, 4 band 4 senior support workers. We are committed to our development as RNLDs using the recommendations and guidance in the Strengthening the Commitment document. You will have access to CPD opportunities and professional supervision to help you progress in your career. We have opportunities to access training in research based interventions for learning disability practice such as Positive Behaviour Support.
Due to the nature of the post, the successful candidate will need a Full Driving Licence and access to a car during working hours.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
