We are looking for experienced mental health practitioners who has experience of acute assessment of older adults or working age adults . The post holder will be working in a fast moving environment working with service users presenting to the A&E department or admitted for medical care to the general hospital..
The post holders will be based at Lister Hospital. The successful candidate will work within a Multi-Disciplinary evidenced based Mental Health Liaison model that focuses on early identification and rapid response of Service Users presenting in A&E or admitted to hospital. The team also provides on-going training to general hospital staff with regards to the recognition and treatment of mental health problems.
The role will require close working with the Acute Trusts across a range of services to ensure early identification of mental health issues.
The team will work with Service Users from age 18 upwards and would welcome qualified nurses with experience of acute assessment of older or younger adults in a community setting to ensure faster decision making and earlier discharge . The service operates 24/7 and the holder will be expected to complete at least 18 nights shifts every 3 months .
The successful applicants will need excellent assessment and communication skills and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
