The post holder will undertake a key management role in the mortality agenda within the Trust, will lead mortality reviews and / or support others to undertake them. The post holder will be responsible for the management and update of any databases used for assurance / management purposes as well as analysis of the data, triangulation of information and report writing.

The post holder will take a lead in ensuring that the processes associated with identification and subsequent review of patients who die under the management and care of the Trust, follow a systematic approach and address the issue of potentially avoidable mortality. In part this will be achieved by the correctly identifying the level of review that is appropriate; Structured Clinical Review, Clinical Review Investigations, SI Investigations)

Additional enhancements: This post attracts Fringe High Cost Allowance which is 5% of your basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of £1,017 and a maximum payment of £1,762
