The Assessment and Treatment Unit at Kingfisher Court, Dove ward is for people with Learning Disabilities and has a staff team who are passionate about excellent patient care.
The unit provides an acute admission for service users where there is a decline in their mental health and/or behaviour that cannot be safely managed within the community, and would require a period of assessment, treatment and discharge planning.
We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced Charge Nurse to join our friendly team and provide a key Leadership role. The post holder will be required to provide comprehensive, professional, effective leadership, clinical advice and expertise, acting as a positive role model, contributing to the professional development of junior staff and consistently demonstrating the trust values. You will be responsible for supporting the day to day running of an identified clinical area.
We are seeking applications from Nurses who have positive attitudes, values and beliefs about working with people with an LD who are experiencing mental health problems, and who want to make a real difference to the service.
You will have at least 1 years of post-registration experience in an inpatient environment.
In return we can offer regular supervision, relevant training and further career development, reflective practice and opportunities to develop your Leadership skills.
