We are looking to appoint an experienced clinician who has the ability to provide strong leadership, in conjunction with other members of the management team, to contribute to the development and implementation of a high quality service to meet the needs of children and young people in acute phases of mental illness, and their carers.

This post-holder will work as 1 of 3 Team Leaders under the supervision of the Community CAMHS Manager (CCM) for C-CATT. The post holder will act in support of the CCM, deputising and carrying out delegated roles, duties and responsibilities as required. 

In addition to providing a wide range of specialist psychosocial skills within the Mental Health Liaison field in support of staff, you will provide formal and informal education and training to other members of the team, other disciplines and teams in the acute hospital. You will undertake urgent assessments of children and young people, and their families, in crisis and where appropriate provide short term support.

Furthermore the post holder will be responsible for establishing and maintaining team systems and processes for the effective operation of the team, including outcome measurements, audit and annual service policy review. The postholder will act in support with fellow Team Leaders in providing clinical Leadership and advice across the C-CATT service.
