We are looking to recruit a skilled and motivated CAMHS Practitioner with the appropriate professional qualification and experience to work in a multi-disciplinary CAMHS Targeted team based in Radlett. This is a countywide post and will involve travelling across the county.
The post-holder will be a member of the award winning Community CAMHS Targeted team working with children and young people presenting with complex mental health, emotional and behavioural problems who are either Looked after or on the edge of care who have experienced developmental trauma and experiencing psychological distress. The post holder will provide a high standard of care to children, adolescents and their families/carers. The team work within the context of CAPA and CYP-IAPT and work closely with a range of colleagues in social care, schools and other partners. We are looking for a CAMHS Practitioner to compliment the skills of the existing team.
In return, the post holder will be supported to develop personally and professionally and there are opportunities for service development.
HPFT CAMHS service is leading in transforming care for young people and their families and now has a CAMHS Home Treatment Team, a CAMHS DBT Service, Crisis Assessment and Treatment Team and has a dedicated CAMHS Section 136 Suite. We also host our own Tier 4 Inpatient Unit for young people, Forest House Adolescent Unit, which has worked to reduce inpatient admissions and improve community care for young people in crisis.
CAMHS Targeted Team is a welcoming, friendly and supportive multi-disciplinary team who are committed to providing innovative and high quality care. We offer a variety of specialist interventions including TF-CBT, DDP, Family Therapy clinics, Reflective network space for professionals and a nine week programme for foster carers aimed at improving the understanding and care of children and young people who have experienced trauma and attachment difficulties. Interventions can be with child or parent/carer or together as well as offering support to various professional networks supporting the child. We offer consultation both formal and informal to our colleagues within social care and education and when required our CAMHS colleagues across the county. We have regular opportunities for team away days and a regular meeting structure for peer support and clinical thinking.
The successful candidate will be supported to develop and build on existing skills and knowledge and will have access to a range of training opportunities to fit with both the needs of the service and personal interests. This is an exciting time to join the team due to the team developing and evolving in relation to what we offer in relation to the work around Children who are looked after by the local authority
