In December 2017, the Transforming Children and Young People's Mental Health Provision green paper introduced a new policy to create Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) to work with children and staff in education settings.

This is an exciting new initiative working at the forefront of innovation in Children’s and Young Peoples Mental Health, with a chance to make a difference to young lives in the creation of a new Wave 5 teams commencing in September 2021 and successfully established teams from the original Trailblazer and Wave 4.

The MHSTs will be offering high quality and evidence based low-intensity interventions to children and young people with mild to moderate emotion health and well-being concerns. These posts will cover our Schools over 6 areas in Hertfordshire; Hoddesdon, Stevenage, Welwyn/Hatfield and St Albans, Watford and Hertsmere

We are looking for 2 innovative and experienced CAMHS Managers to join our enthusiastic and forward-thinking early intervention CAMHS service to provide leadership and management to our growing school based services in Hertfordshire. You will be a qualified and registered RMN, Paediatric nurse, Social Worker, Psychologist, Family Therapist or Psychotherapist. Experience delivering supervision using a CBT framework is highly desirable

You will need to be self-motivated and able to work autonomously at pace and be effective in managing your time, workload and priorities. You will be responsible for the delivery of a high quality and responsive CAMHS service and for implementing and reviewing systems, policies, standards and procedures within frameworks agreed by the Trust, partner agencies and Commissioners.

You’ll have demonstrable management experience within the NHS, and significant experience of working with clinicians and leading multi-disciplinary teams to achieve service improvement. It will be a challenging role but rewarding and we believe it will provide a talented and ambitious manager with real scope to develop and influence practice.
