The Enhanced Assessment and Treatment team provide intensive support to adults with learning disabilities who are presenting challenging behaviour and / or mental health problems in the community to prevent, where possible, admission to hospital. The service also supports individuals in the community who have a forensic history and the aim is to help prevent re-offending and returning to secure services. The team will work closely with individuals to assess risk and provide appropriate treatment to their needs.

The team will act as a gateway to the inpatient assessment and treatment service and work in close liaison with inpatient services to facilitate appropriate admission and timely discharge from services. The team currently provide a 9am to 5pm service Monday to Friday and will work with the service user in a variety of health and social care settings. The post holder may be required to work within 24 hour shift patterns to support the role in agreement with the Team Leader.

This post involves working both within our assessment and treatment service for adults with intellectual disabilities and our enhanced assessment and treatment service within the community.

We offer our staff a wide range of benefits including work life balance policies, childcare savings, a free Counseling Service, Occupational Health Services, excellent pension scheme and NHS shopping discounts.
