Locum Consultant Psychiatrist Forensic Psychiatry with intellectual Disabilities 7PAs

This is an exciting opportunity for a recently qualified higher trainee or an established Consultant to join Herts Forensic and LD Services. In this exciting post, you will join an established team of nurses, psychologists, therapists and social workers supporting a varied group of inpatients and community service users. 

The community forensic team and OBIS covers the Hertfordshire locality and helps to support a case load of patients who have some or had previous involvement with the criminal justice system alongside requiring treatment for mental disorder and/or intellectual disability.

This job will be based at Kingsley Green Hospital, near Radlett, where specific secretarial, IT support and office space are provided for the post. HPFT makes use of an Electronic Patient Record (PARIS) system with provision of its own administrative support team.

Applicants must be fully registered medical practitioners and on the GMC Specialist Register be approved under Section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act 1983, and have Approved Clinician status.

Occupational Health & Disclosure & Baring Service Checks: The appointment will be subject to clearance from the Occupational Health Department and the DBS.
