Buckinghamshire Community Learning Disability Health Team - -Band 5 Intensive Support Staff Nurse

The specialist intensive support team (IST) sits within the Buckinghamshire Community Learning Disability Health Team (CLDHT) and works across the county of Buckinghamshire providing assessment and treatment in community settings for adults with learning disabilities who have additional emotional and behavioural difficulties.

An opportunity for the post of a Staff Nurse has arisen and will be based at our Hub at Anglo Office Park High Wycombe or Midshires Business Park Aylesbury dependant on personal choice; it will be a county wide role leading the work of the IST.

 We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic staff nurse who will be able to support the lead in all aspects of the IST across a shift based 365 day a year service and clinically support the IST nursing team. You must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and with strategic intent within the supportive environment of the CLDHT.

You will have experience of working in a learning disability health setting and have extensive knowledge of working with people who have a learning disability whose distress levels may be causing serious risk and consequences to themselves and/or others. The team aims to provide an innovative, safe and progressive service that delivers outcomes for better health and wellbeing. Our focus is always on recovery, rehabilitation and enablement.

 The team promotes collaboration and partnership working with service users, their families, paid carers and all agencies that are involved with people with a learning disability. They aim to provide an innovative, safe and progressive service
