The specialist intensive support team (IST) sits within the Buckinghamshire Community Learning Disability Health Team (CLDHT) and works across the county of Buckinghamshire providing assessment and treatment in community settings for adults with learning disabilities who have additional emotional and behavioural difficulties.

We are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Support Worker. You will have experience of working within a health or social care setting in the community supporting adults with a learning disability. You will work with service users, families & paid carers to implement interventions from team care plans. You will receive supervision & guidance from a registered nurse as well as excellent opportunities for your own professional development.

You will be expected to use your skills & experience to ensure safe & effective practice to safeguard the service users & others you are working with yourself during lone working in the community. The successful applicant will be working primarily within the nursing team & be an integral and active member of the wider multi-disciplinary team.

You will be based at our Hub at Anglo Office Park High Wycombe or Midshires Business Park Aylesbury dependant on personal choice; it will be a county wide role leading the work of the IST.
