An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of Senior Operational Estates Manager within a newly formed Estates Department, providing services to Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Trust and Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust.

Reporting to the Head of Operations - Estates and Facilities, The Senior Operational Estates Manager will be responsible for the day to day management of the hard FM service provision supplied through third party contractors. They will ensure maintenance regimes are executed in accordance with statutory and regulatory requirements and in accordance with HTM and HBN guidelines and standards.

Buildings will be maintained to a minimum of condition B with backlog maintenance plans and rolling refurbishment programmes established to ensure high quality maintenance of the trusts building portfolio in support of the overall Estates Strategy. 

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience of leading an estates maintenance service within a healthcare environment. Must have specialist knowledge of Legionella, asbestos, LV electrical, lifts, fire, medical gas pipeline systems and Estates Health & Safety and Compliance. You will act as Trust Responsible Person (RP) or Authorised Person (AP) and will lead on water safety, asbestos management, fire safety compliance and electrical safety.

You will be responsible for the production of service specifications and the tendering of M&E contracts from inception to completion ensuring robust management and performance targets are measured in accordance with agreed KPI's.
