An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the HPFT Corporate Safeguarding Team as a Specialist Safeguarding Practitioner.

The post holder will work within the Trust Safeguarding Team to support the organisation’s strategic and statutory directives in respect of safeguarding people.

The role forms part of the safeguarding leadership within the organisation and will support the ongoing and systematic development of a robust and effective safeguarding culture within HPFT.

This is a wide ranging role, which encompasses providing guidance and support to staff on a range of adult and child safeguarding issues, designing and delivering education and training sessions, working alongside partner agencies to foster interagency working Trust wide, including attending Safeguarding Partnership sub groups and participating in high level safeguarding enquiries (including Domestic Homicide Reviews, Safeguarding Adults Reviews and Serious Case Reviews).  The post holder will possess a demonstrable knowledge of relevant legislation. 

The applicant will have proven leadership skills, be able to work autonomously and with excellent communication, analytical and organisational abilities.
