The Trust is proud of the state of the art facilities it provides within the Learning and Development Centre at The Colonnades in Hatfield and continues to invest in providing a supporting learning environment. The site is also Trust Head Office and as such welcomes many external guests regularly for meetings and conference events. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Librarian within the Library and Knowledge Services at the Colonnades.
The successful post holder will report to the Library and Knowledge Manager and will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Trust Library and Knowledge Services. The post holder will ensure the highest possible standards of services are delivered to clinical and non-clinical staff through promoting and providing all staff and students on placement with access to and help in making effective use of the knowledge and information based within a healthcare setting.
The role will involve delivering front-line professional services, training, enquiry services, literature searches and document supply in accordance with the operational processes. The role is customer facing for both internal and external stakeholders and the post holder must demonstrate and provide a service which is consistent with our Trust values.
In addition to the basic salary, this post attracts a High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of basic salary subject to a minimum payment of £1,017 and a maximum payment of £1,762 per annum (pro rata where applicable).
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
