Band 7 Clinical or Counselling Psychologist or CBT Therapist

We are a looking to recruit a bright and enthusiastic Clinical or Counselling Psychologist or experienced CBT therapist to join a busy and well established psychological therapies service within the Adult Mental Health services in the East and South East Quadrant of Hertfordshire. HPFT has recently received an Outstanding rating from the CQC. The job is located in Cheshunt but the post holder will be required to provide some assistance (one day per week) to the Adult Community Mental Health Team in Bishops Stortford. The psychological therapists offer assessment and a range of different psychological interventions within a multidisciplinary setting. The post holder would be expected to work with clients presenting with a range of difficulties and diagnoses and to offer individual and group interventions. There is the opportunity to supervise and provide consultation and training to staff and scope to develop and pursue areas of special interest. We provide weekly supervision and support locally and the post holder would become part of the wider psychological therapies service across HPFT, having access to CPD activities including an in house programme and well established special interest groups. In recent years we have also secured funding to train our staff in DBT, CBT for psychosis, family interventions in psychosis, EMDR, and MBT and we plan to continue developing the skills of our staff. We provide a diagnostic service for the assessment of autistic spectrum disorders and there would be opportunities for an interested post holder to become involved in this work. We have received funding to develop exciting new services in the treatment of personality disorder and for expanding primary care.

Please note that we are looking for the successful applicant to start work in January 2022.
