An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Team Secretary to join our busy Community Mental Health Team. We are a busy community based mental health team, our office is based in the heart of Borehamwood, near the town centre where there is a wide range of chain and independent stores accessible. We are a short walk from the local train station, which gives easy access to London and across Hertfordshire. The post involves a range of secretarial and administrative duties. You will provide administrative support to the teams Leadership and support the Manager in ensuring that the service is operating well and achieving its set targets. The person is required to take detailed notes and minutes at formal meetings. You will have regular contact with service users, both by phone and in person. Planning and tracking appointments for initial assessments within the service, you will therefore need excellent planning skills.

The team has a happy working environment, is pleasant and friendly in an open office. The team members are very supportive and help each other by working in a friendly and collaborative way.

You will be an experienced Secretary, with varied experience of working in the health service, providing high level of Administrative support. In return we offer regular supportive supervision, a personalised individual development plan which supports you in your career planning and progression.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
